If you've ever felt like you're failing at motherhood, this night is for you. Because here's the truth: there's nothing wrong with you. The system was never built for us.
Work ends at 6, but school pickup is at 3. Child care costs as much as rent. Too many of us went back to work before our bodies had healed. And since the start of 2025, hundreds of thousands of moms have left the workforce, pushed out by unaffordable child care, a lack of flexibility, no paid leave, and the pay penalty that so often follows a baby.
So why hasn't anything changed? No Country for Mothers has an answer. Every time moms get close to real support, we get handed a culture war instead: working mom vs. stay-at-home mom, tradwife vs. girlboss. These divides are designed to distract us and keep us apart. And while we're busy defending our choices, nothing gets fixed.
This evening is about rising above all of that and coming back together. Join us for a screening of this powerful new documentary, followed by an open conversation where moms can share what they're carrying, hear from inspiring local voices, and discover how much we have in common. You'll leave knowing you're not alone, and with simple ways to be part of building something better for moms, kids and families.
Keynote
Gabrielle "Gaby" Ramos Solomon, First Lady of Jersey City. A mom of three and former educator, Gaby has spent her career working for kids and families, most recently as Chief of Staff at the Robin Hood Foundation.
Community Conversation
Rev. Tami Weaver-Henry, Chair of the Jersey City Women's Advisory Board and CEO of Angels Care Home Healthcare, a lifelong caregiver and advocate for women in Jersey City.
Victoria Trinko, co-founder of Seed Mother and matrescence educator, who helps mothers understand the profound transition into motherhood.

About the Film
No Country for Mothers is a 2026 documentary directed by Raeshem Nijhon and led by Reshma Saujani, founder of Moms First and Girls Who Code. Produced by Moms First, Culture House, French Tuck Media and Bobbie, it traces how American mothers have been divided for decades and calls for a motherhood in America that actually works.
